1-Minute Cervical Medial Branch Block

Equipment

01 4cc local anesthetic in 5cc syringe

02 25g x 1.5" hypodermic needle

03 Radiopaque pointer

Create a Pointer

Use the longest option that you have, here a 20cc syringe and needle are used (cap on to prevent pokes).

Draw up meds

Draw up 4cc local anesthetic in a 5cc syringe.

Place needle "down the barrel"

Straight down to each target. Several needles shown here, but you can also just redirect 1 needle to each target.

Repeat for each level

Either place another needle or redirect one needle to each level.

Check an AP

Check an AP at any levels, if needed, to confirm depth
